Layering Colour: Hand-Stitched Collage Workshop

Join Emily Jo Gibbs, artist in residence at Trinity Buoy Wharf, for a free, drop-in workshop exploring the delicate art of textile work.

Emily Jo Gibbs creates intricate pieces by layering translucent fabrics, using hand stitching to add texture and depth.

In this fun, hands-on session, Emily will introduce you to her techniques and guide you through creating your own sample piece. All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary - just bring your enthusiasm!

This workshop is taking place in the Buoy Store at Trinity Buoy Wharf, alongside the John Ruskin Prize, offering a unique opportunity to engage with Emily's work and the exhibition in a creative and interactive way.

This is a drop-in session with only 14 bookable places available, but as the workshop runs for two hours, you're welcome to drop by even if you don’t secure a booking - there should be opportunities to get involved throughout the session.
